About AMCS

AMCS is an operating division of American Management Corporation, whose beginnings date back to 1940. AMCS was formed in 1987 to develop a system to monitor compliance with contractual insurance requirements. AMCS along with Vandia General Agency, American Underwriters Insurance Company, and American Management Claims Administrators comprise our insurance-related entities. American Management Corporation focuses on insurance products and services to companies nationwide.

AMCS is a risk management company. We specialize in contract management support services for regional and national corporations. Depending on the services specified, we may monitor various terms and conditions for those with whom our clients have contracts or agreements. These may range from low-risk vendors to high-risk contractors. Though our beginning focus was in achieving compliance with insurance requirements, our scope has broadened over the years to include the monitoring of additional contractual requirements as well as pre-qualification services.

Our services help protect corporate assets by identifying companies or individuals whose risk management policies and insurance coverages don’t afford protection at levels acceptable to our clients. As the case may be, AMCS will either report on operators’ current statuses or also include steps to get negative statuses corrected (as would be with insurance coverages). We operate with a staff of professional, dedicated and well-trained account representatives. Their only responsibility is contractor pre-qualification and compliance monitoring.
